9 The Japan Industrial Productivity (JIP) Database consists of capital/labor input and annual data of input-output tables by 84 sectors based on the SNA Input-Output Table, and ancillary data, such as technical knowledge stock and country-by-country and industry-by-industry trade. Here, the JIP database updated to 2002 by Mr. Kyoji Fukao and Mr. Tsutomu Miyagawa is used.
