64 TLO (Technology Licensing Organization) is a system that was introduced through the "Law to Promote_the Licensing of Technology from Universities, Etc." of 1998 for the purpose of passing along to industry and society the results of research performed at universities and other institutions and to stimulate research activities in these institutions. As of March 2005, there were 43 authorized TLO's nationwide.
