62 Like the MOT indicator, this variable is defined by assigning points representing the degree of organizational and managerial initiative in protecting intellectual property. Specifically, this refers to the number of measures implemented for this purpose by the company, including the establishment of special departments, institution of strategies concerning intellectual property and establishment of provisions stipulating ownership of the rights of, and compensation to be paid for, in-house inventions.
