13 Since a linear utility function (i.e. monotone increase, decrease) has been postulated here, consideration has not been given to changes in a quadratic curve marginal utility whereby utility declines by a large extent as the burden increases (although simulations using a non-linear utility function were essayed, these were not statistically applicable).
