46 The number of instances where the amount of funds requested by financial institutions was less than the amount offered by the BOJ in its fund supplying operations (based on the number of offers), was 37 times in the period from January to March 2005 and 31 times in the period from April to June 2005. There were numerous instances in 2002 as well: 107 times in the period from January to March, 33 times in the period from April to June, and 27 times in the period from July to September.
