24 Regarding government procurement, for procurements of goods and services by the central government, independent administrative institutions or special public corporations, open tendering contracts are used for cases even if the procured amount is below the level stipulated in the WTO government procurement agreements, or SDR 100,000 or more (approximately 14 million yen). When the procured amount is SDR 800,000 or more (approximately 120 million yen) procurement information will be provided prior to the bidding. For public works, open tendering procedures are used for projects worth 750 million yen or more, pursuant to the WTO agreements.
