(113) The latest revision has lowered the self-pay ratio for babies under 3 years old to 20% and, with regard to low income earners aged 70 and above, expanded the scope of those eligible for the lowest co-payment (to about 15% of total) from only those on senior welfare pensions (about 0.7% of the total, while keeping the lowest co-payment unchanged at 35,400 yen per month for income tax-exempted elderly people aged below 70).
