(36) Other reasons for the steeper fall of the GDP deflator compared to other price indices include: 1） the difference in the target goods and services; and 2） difference in the index formula (while the Laspeyres formula is used for domestic corporate goods prices and consumer prices, the Paasche formula is used for the GDP deflator).
