(30) Restriction of stock holdings by banks means restricting stock holdings by banks to within their equity levels on the basis of the Law concerning Restriction of Stock Holdings by Banks, etc. At first, the law was to be applied from the half term ended September 2004, but it was amended in August 2003 to be applied from the half term ended September 2006.
