(17) According to the analysis on contribution to scheduled cash earnings based on the Monthly Labour Survey, the amount of wages paid to regular workers dropped sharply in 2002 but took an upward turn in 2003. The downward pressure on scheduled cash earnings due to the rise in the ratio of part-time workers became strong in 2002 but started to settle down thereafter.
