4 About half (53.6%) of the production increase from the April-June quarter of 1999 (the latest cyclical trough) to the July-September quarter of 2000 was contributed by IT-related goods. In the previous recovery phase (from the October-December quarter of 1993 to the January-March quarter of 1997), the contribution of IT-related goods was 35.0%.
