15 Since the value of GDP gap differs widely depending on the calculation method for potential growth rate, it, as well as its symbol, should be approached allowing a certain amount of leeway. It is also necessary to keep in mind that what is important is to see GDP gap's time-series changes, not its absolute level. For calculation method, see Appended Note 1-3.
