(4) A company with a main bank here is defined as a firm that has a bank holding a stake of 4% or more in the firm or has one or more directors from a bank. In this model, a dummy variable of 1 for a firm with a main bank is multiplied by the cash flow variable to check whether the presence of the main bank has eased the cash flow constraints.
