(2) In this year' s edition of the "Annual Report on the Japanese Economy and Public Finance (2001-2002)," the January-March quarter of 2002 is provisionally used as the trough of the recession. The official date will be determined by statistical method by the Working Group of Indexes of Business Conditions of the Economic and Social Research Institute.
