Appended Note 3-1 Growth of Labor Productivity and Total Factor

[Toc]  [Prev]  [Next]

Due to the growth rate of Labor Productivity and Total Factor Productivity (TFP) by industry, the following goods were divided into three groups.

Each growth rate shows the growth of the FY 1991-95 average and the FY 1996-00 average. With regard to the grouping for the goods, we assumed that those with a high growth rate in both labor productivity and Total Factor Productivity (TFP) are superior goods. Those with relatively lower growth in both labor productivity and Total Factor Productivity (TFP) than that of superior goods are median goods. Those with no growth in both labor productivity and Total Factor Productivity (TFP) are inferior goods.
